I came into your office on Dec. 15, 2010 for an appointment with my son who is only 16 months now.  Dr. Hinrichsen gave me a prescription for my son to get some glasses.  Keep in mind this is my very first time getting Jordan some glasses and I know it takes some time getting use to.  I got the glasses about 2 weeks ago. I called your office the day after I receive my son's glasses to tell them I believe the prescription was to strong.  The lady who answer the phone told me to bring the glasses in and they would have a technician take a look at them at that time.  I came in today with the glasses the technician that took my son's glasses to make sure they were okay told me the glasses did match the prescription.  I told her my concern was to get the prescription lowered ( I guess that is the right term for it), but she insisted that the glasses were matched with the prescription.  I told her I understood that and I wish to get them lowered.  I advise this lady I am the child's parent and I just have a concern for his eyes.  Well, the technician did not seem concern at all.  Neither was she apologetic for the problems that I was having.  Well, as we continue back in forth and may I mention in the waiting room where other patients were waiting to be seen she finally advise me to come to the back with her, because our conversation was getting kind of loud.  First, off she should have done this from the start.  So we went to the back and she kept telling me how Dr. Hinrichsen has went to school and got all these degrees, oh and he is the professional.  I never question Dr. Hinrichsen, my only concern was to get the prescription lowered on my son's glasses.  I explained to this technician that my motherly instincts are telling me that Jordan needs a lower prescription.  We went back and forth for about five minutes and we did not discuss the concern of Jordan, but instead we discussed how Dr. Hinrichsen is the best at what he does.  Again, I never doubted the doctor, I just wanted a second opinion.  After, I express to the technician that I would be getting a second opinion from another doctor and if that doctor states that he/she can lower Jordan's eye prescription, that I would tell the media about this clinic.  I hate to do this, because this office has been around for so long, but that particular bad seed that you have in your office will put a somewhat bad reputation out for your clinic.  Everyone may not listen to what I have to say, but it will be in the back of their minds about how I feel and they will watch your staff to make sure they are not mistreated or talked to the way I was.  I have an appointment for tomorrow with your office and I plan to listen to what the doctor has to say,  but if he is anything like that technician I will be deeply disgusted with this clinic.

Again, I am so hurt to be treated like this.  My only concern for my child and she choose not to do anything about this, except give so much honor praise to Dr. Hinrichsen.  I want you to know I never doubted the doctor I just wanted to get help, I just wanted to get help with Jordan’ new glasses.
